Marilyn Monroe once said "Sister's make the best friends in the world."

My sister and I are five and a half years apart. As children, we really didn't play together well because of our age gap. That didn't stop us from forming a sisterly bond though. As adults, we are the best of friends. We talk on the phone several times a week, despite the time difference (she lives on East Coast, and I live on the West Coast).

As Christina Yang would say, “She’s my person. If I murdered someone, she’s the person I’d call to help me drag the corpse across the living room floor.”

I recently visited my sister, Dawn and her family in Florida. While there, we picked out and coordinated outfits for her four children, and headed to the beach one evening for a short photo session. I'm so excited to give her some images for her living room wall, but also so happy and grateful to have the opportunity to spend so much time with her and her family.
